In this piece, I repair and hand-fill every crack within a given room or space with variously colored plaster in order to fix, yet accentuate and highlight the imperfect networks of crevices beneath our feet. Although this video focuses on the meditative process of filling one specific crack within a larger installation, this piece can be performed and replicated in any space. The repairs are considered to be permanent, brightly displaying the past history of a surface, while improving its functionality through manual labor.
